It was nice to see Cranbrook Symphony Orchestra represented at the recent Wellbeing event where we had a stand in St. Dunstan's Church in Cranbrook. The event was held to promote the positive benefits that music can have on both mind and body. Six members of the orchestra took turns in being at the stand to engage with visitors where we were able to talk about music in general, Cranbrook Symphony Orchestra and our forthcoming concerts at Hemsted Park and St. Dunstan's Church. Several people expressed an interest in either working with the orchestra or becoming a member. Visitors to our stall were also able to see photos of the orchestra in action and even try out a few of the musical instruments that we had taken along. Participants were able to take part in a concert on the Saturday evening but unfortunately we were unable to get enough members together for a performance.
Thank you to everyone that helped make this event a success and we hope to represent the orchestra at future events.
